Well, well. What can I really say, except the school is atrocious in some ways?The school may have good aspects, some of which are achieving good GCSE results, clubs in breaktime and even school plays that every school should have - but there is much more negative traits that the school possesses and never intends to remove them anytime soon.They claim to be against discrimination/prejudice and are strict on bullying, but do they really mean that? There's a practice of the teachers and other staff patronizing and discriminating children and they never really showing hope or respect for them (only a few do so). A lot of children have left the school early for these reasons, and let's not forget that if your child has a disability or others like depression, they will be in for a lovely treat if you integrate them here.Secondly, they never manage to move in on time when bullying occurs. There have been many reports of children feeling harassed, bullied and even reports of being assaulted. A couple years ago, an autistic child was assaulted just by the school grounds by two tall teenagers, and the only action that was taken was a two-day exclusion. Nothing else at all.Lastly, the teachers: most of them don't seem to have any respect or hope for anybody who participates in their classes. Instead, they tend to pick on another if they make one mistake, and simply cause them to become the laughing stock in class. They will even make rude, and insulting, comments against their target, which by no surprise - will cause the others to think less of them.Overall, if your child knows how to keep a low profile, they have a little chance of managing to cope with this school. However, one mistake will lead to a grand amount of negativity. You decide on your own choices, so it is completely fine on wherever you choose to allow the school to have your child or not.
One teacher does absolutely nothing and makes us google up what he is supposed to be teaching us and he is also a nonce he feels up your hand with his sweaty and clammy fingers. I would like to move classes your faithfully David-john mcdowwel
Students will always moan about school but I wouldn't go anywhere else!
- Facilities needed improvement. No rooms to use to study if the library was closed (usually for no reason at all). A case of finding an empty classroom to work in was not at all helpful for effective studying. Continuous movement from canteen and sixth form hall facilities for being 'loud' and 'disruptive'. Why not discipline the loud and disruptive people? - Some excellent teachers. - The inability for parents to speak to the head teacher as he would frequently refuse to be seen. - Rude reception staff. - The schools 'anti-bullying policy' needs serious undivided attention. After reporting numerous counts of harrassment and asking for action to be taken, this action was not carried out. - Had it not been for my motivation to succeed, I do not think I would have acheived all GCSE's and 2 AS Levels.
