We popped in on New Years day for lunch. We hadn't made a reservation so needed to take our chances in the bar. This worked out fantasticaaly as The dog was allowed in and it was full of very friendly locals. The bar had a real log fire and a parrot!! Given how busy the pub was the food was served in good time and was fantastic. All home cooked. This pub is definitely worth a visit and we will be going back

Amazing hidden gem you can eat in the bar or the restaurant it has been recently renovated and has a comfy feel. The staff are friendly but not in your face. The food is excellent. Short opening times for food so check first doesn't open on a Monday. Always check the specials board.
